Intentional Caring Relationships

The Bible says that life is to be experienced in relationship with Jesus Christ and one another. As a result, our vision is to have everyone who attends Friendship Baptist Church intentionally connected to one another on a weekly basis through biblical-caring communities that promote transformation, caring relationships, prayer & a missionary-mindset that compels us to serve and see others introduced to Jesus.

By doing so, we will desire to intentionally engage one another and the community that surrounds us. We will seek to share with others the joy, fulfillment, hope and forgiveness that is available through Jesus Christ. We will seek ways to intentionally invite others to church, Sunday morning growgroups or connectionsgroups that meet throughout the week in peoples homes so that they may know Jesus and grow to love Him more.

Let’s meet God where He is working and be transformed! And be ready to tell others!

GrowGroups

GrowGroups meet on-campus on Sunday Mornings from 9:45am to 10:45pm. We currently offer eight different topics for you consider. Grab a cup of fresh coffee and a donut at the Canopy Cafe and get growing. Contact Pastor Mark K for more information (410) 428.5685

ConnectionGroups

ConnectionGroups meet off-campus during the week at various times in homes throughout the surrounding community.

Ladies Ministry

The Friendship Baptist Church Women’s Ministry is committed to the spiritual and social needs of women of all ages by providing opportunities for friendship, renewal, encouragement, learning and, serving together.

College & Young Adults

This group is for recent High School Graduates and young adults through age 30. Participate in relevant conversations and fellowship. This group meets for fellowship activities off campus.

Grief Share

GriefShare is a support group of individuals who understand the meaning of loss. This program is a DVD series which meets for 13-weeks and features Biblical concept for healing from grief.

Men's Ministry

The Men’s Ministry provides opportunities for Christian brothers to spend time with each other in fellowship and prayer in order to build strong personal relationships.

The Men’s Ministry is an excellent opportunity for new members to get to know their Christian brothers. The following highlights provide you opportunities to get involved:

Men’s Fellowship Breakfasts meet once a quarter at church for a time of fellowship, encouragement and topical discussions.

Men’s Ministry schedules many different opportunities throughout the year.

Spring Break in Sykesville

This team meets the Appalachian Trail through hikers in Gathland State Park. They provide the hikers Breakfast, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, homemade desserts and trail snacks. There are also numerous opportunities to share the Gospel with the hikers as they rest and enjoy the food.

Fall FunFest in Sykesville

Fall FunFest in Sykesville is a free event sponsored by Friendship Baptist Church. We hosted our first Fall FunFest in Sykesville on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Fall FunFest replaced our Christmas in Cooper Park event that we had hosted each year since 2011.

Like Christmas in Cooper Park and our Spring Break in Sykesville events, Fall FunFest is designed to foster connectivity in the community and to increase the level of awareness within the Sykesville/Eldersburg community for the Town of Sykesville parks and businesses.
